CRYO BANDAGE AND COOLANT COMBO PACK

Mechanism of action:

PhysiCool products use active ingredients to cool the tissues of the treated area. The active ingredients of PhysiCool act through a special woven bandage to rapidly evaporate the body heat, reducing the temperature of the skin and subcutaneous tissues, dissipating their stored heat, effectively reducing inflammation, reducing pain and promoting rapid cell regeneration and healing without damage or destruction.

Our cryobandages and wraps work by extracting the body's own heat locally and evenly from the affected area without applying any cold material directly to the surface. Our products never require refrigeration, are reusable and machine washable.

As there is no risk of skin damage, PhysiCool bandages and wraps can be worn for up to several hours and used 2-4 times a day.

How does Physicool work?

PhysiCool works by rapid evaporation, which draws heat away from the treated body surface. The specially woven bandages are soaked in a cooling liquid before use, which plays a key role in evaporation and heat dissipation.

As the cooling fluid is absorbed into the bandage, cooling and compression can be easily combined in one step. This eliminates the use errors that can cause skin damage in traditional ice therapy.

Each bandage has a Velcro strap that can be secured without creating pressure points, providing even, comfortable compression.

Once you have used the pre-soaked bandage, you can soak it with the supplied coolant for the next use.

Physicool is clinically proven effective in the treatment of sprains and strains, as well as chronic inflammatory conditions including tendonitis and plantar fasciitis.

SPORTS REHABILITATION

Cooling treatment is used to reduce recovery time as part of a sports rehabilitation programme. Physicool can be used successfully to cool and compress target muscles after a competition/match. The cooling solution offers the benefits of an ice bath for muscle recovery, but without the icy water and cooling pain. Physicool is designed to speed recovery, reduce muscle soreness and relieve pain; enhancing consecutive performance.

In principle, cooling therapies have few complications or side effects, prolonged use of ice-based therapies (ice, ice packs, ice packs) should be avoided as they can cause serious side effects such as frostbite or nerve damage (Swensen, 1996). There is evidence that even ice wrapped in a towel can cause frostbite (Graham, 2000). Physicool offers a much safer alternative to cooling than ice-based products.
