The door is covered with a heat-protective plastic cover, so the autoclave operator is not exposed to damage from the hot metal surface. The door seal is made of heat-resistant silicone rubber.
The number of built-in programs for the microprocessor control depends on the type of device: the VX, DX and 2D models include 12 basic programs, + 2 test programs and 11 additional freely configurable programs. The VE and DE types have 12 prog
rams (see previous table). The time and temperature parameters of any program can be freely changed as required.
The instrument "speaks" Hungarian, so the programs, main parameters and messages are displayed in Hungarian.
It is possible to delay the start of the programme (e.g. start a longer liquid programme at dawn), which allows to increase the daily capacity of the appliance by one programme. When the laboratory staff come in, the medium can be ready for pouring...
The devices are suitable for carrying out Fo calculations. Then, at the end of the programme, the instrument calculates (and prints, if a printer is available) the current Fo value. This makes it possible to optimise sterilisation for similar loads.
The sterilisation temperature can be freely set up to 140 °C, while the sterilisation time can be selected between 1 minute and 300 minutes (optionally 999 days and 99 minutes). As an option, cycle repetition can be programmed (material tests, ageing). The programme can be automatically repeated up to 100 times on demand (option). Optionally, a sterilisation temperature of 150 °C (in pure steam, not in steam mixed with air) can be requested.

Since the fan, which can be installed in the door obliquely, does not take up any of the chamber's free height, it is possible to use the fan in combination with e.g. three rows of 1 litre Schott laboratory glassware in the 75 cm high chamber. This is just 50% more than the 75 cm high chamber can accommodate with the fan "hanging" from the flat door. Even the 70 cm high chamber can only fit 2 rows of 1 litre Schott bottles.
