The CRP SmartTester is a chromatographic immunoassay-based quantitative rapid test reader for professional in vitro (IVD) diagnostic use.
The CRP SmartTester analyser is designed to provide quantitative immunochromatographic test results for a wide range of otherwise qualitative rapid tests, thereby increasing the accuracy and efficiency of home, bedside and laboratory testing for relevant markers.

The device is designed for bedside (POCT) use in hospital emergency departments, ambulance services, clinics or laboratories.
It can be used for screening and diagnostic purposes. The quantitative or semi-quantitative results of the device can be used to make a professional decision on the need for further testing or to rule out a specific medical condition.

Available parameters
HBA1C: HbA1c is a glycated form of haemoglobin, the amount of which is proportional to the average blood glucose level of the 90-120 days prior to sampling. The molecule is suitable for monitoring glycaemic control in diabetic patients.
CRP: C-reactive protein (CRP) is a protein produced by the liver. It is normally virtually undetectable in the blood, but its concentration increases during infection or inflammation. CRP can be measured to detect acute inflammation and monitor chronic conditions.
D-DIMER: D-Dimer is a fragment of a protein produced by the breakdown of fibrin fibres produced during the blood clotting process. Its levels are typically high in clot-forming diseases (e.g. deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism).
TROPONIN: The Cardiac Troponin I Rapid Test with SMARTTESTER is a rapid, quantitative determination of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) concentrations in whole blood, serum and plasma samples.
