The 3M™ Littmann® Classic II Pediatric Phonoscope is designed specifically for the examination of smaller patients. Its double-sided earpiece provides high acoustic sensitivity for both high and low frequency sounds. It is also used by health professionals and medical students to identify, listen to and examine heart, lung and other body sounds during physical examination and diagnosis. The headphones can be easily and comfortably adjusted to the head size by squeezing or pulling apart the ear tips. Soft ear cups with "snap-tight" technology fit snugly to the ear, providing excellent sound isolation and comfortable wear. The ear tips fit tightly on the ends of the ear tubes and can only be removed with considerable force to ensure safety. The new generation of flexible tubes retain their shape and flexibility even when folded tightly into your pocket. Greater resistance to oil and alcohol on the skin ensures a longer life for the phonendoscope and less staining. The new generation of tubes are made from non-natural latex for the benefit of sensitive healthcare workers and their patients. The new generation tubes do not contain phthalate plasticizers to protect human health and the environment. To ensure consistent quality, Classic II pediatric phonendoscopes are made in the USA.
