The diathermy devices we offer are designed exclusively for professional users, such as rehabilitation clinics, orthopaedists and physiotherapists. Sales to private users are not possible!
Diathermy (also known as TECAR therapy or high frequency thermotherapy) provides physiotherapists with a highly effective form of thermal therapy. The endogenous heat produced by the devices can be used for all forms of trauma and pathologies of the musculoskeletal system.
The high frequency sinusoidal currents (400-1200 KHz) generate endogenous heat in the tissue, which has beneficial effects. Although thermotherapy has long been used in physiotherapy, it is not comparable to diathermy.

HR TEK SP is the little brother of the HR TEK multi-frequency diathermy device. This innovative diathermy device is ideal for professional users such as rehabilitation clinics, orthopaedists and physiotherapists.
Its compact size makes the HR TEK SP a portable device. With a weight of 9.5 kg, it is transportable, making it suitable for use in the physio department of professional sports clubs, e.g. training camps, to administer TECAR therapy on the spot in case of injury.
The treatment is intuitive and identical to HR TEK. Programs can be selected according to body part via the high-resolution 10.1-inch touch screen. There are programmes for each pathology, each with preset values. Up to 200 programmes can be stored within the device.
Main applications of diathermy
- Sports rehabilitation
- Aesthetic medicine
- Dermatology
- Traumatology
- Pain relief
- Inflammation of tendons and joints
- Periarticular diseases (bursitis, calcification, etc.)

With HR TEK DESK, 3 different treatments are possible depending on the type of pathology:
1. Capacitive mode: here the greatest effect is concentrated directly under the electrode. The capacitive mode is mainly used in areas of the body with high water content, such as muscles, venous-lymphatic system, etc.
Optimal results are obtained in the following cases:
- Articular and periarticular diseases
- Post-treatment after fractures
- Post-traumatic drainage of oedema
2. Resistive mode: the resistive mode is used for tissues with low water content and higher resistance. The biological effect can be achieved in depth, namely in tissues located between the movable electrode and the counterplate, such as bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and cartilage.
In the resistive mode, optimal results can be obtained with the following pathologies:
- General traumatology
- Sports traumatology
- Sports sports
- Arthrosis
- Arthritis
- Capsulitis and bursitis
- Heel Spur Syndrome

3. Bipolar mode: with the bipolar handpiece, treatments can be performed without the negative plate, the negative electrode is already in the handpiece.
In this case, all electrodes block the transmission of electromagnetic waves to the operator.
